would you consider this ‘original creativity’ ?
Okay… lets say … you find a bland old table at a garage sale for….20 bucks… you bring it home, sand it a bit and repaint. You create a legit detailed mosaic on the entire top of the table with finishing touches…. would you consider that original if you didn’t ‘make’ the wooden table, but made everything else on it like that? What would be a ‘rough’ price estimate of its’ worth ?
A painter uses a canvas and creates original works of art. Yet the canvas alone is almost worthless in comparison. This can be said for almost any form of art and materials used.
The value is determined by any one who who sees beyond the materials. If it is a sale and dollars you are looking for promoting it to the right people is key.
If you check Ebay $280 seams a going price. These are imported and may be soft wood. But if you make a long article and say “original handcrafted: and find all the details and inspiration you could get well over $1,000. Especially if it oak or any other quality hardwood.
