Photo mosaic? How to blend?
I am trying to make a mosaic in photoshop of some scans of wood grain board.. but the wood grain scans are slightly different tones and when I try to join them they don’t look blended.. is there some trick I can use to make it look more seamless? So it looks more like one bit pice of wood when zoomed in on it? There are som shadows on the edges of the mosaic pieces too.. any tips would be great.. I’m trying to make it look like one big desktop…
you can attack the color variation by creating a duo tone in PS. adjust the contrast and brightness and saturation on each piece; each on a separate layer.
Also you might create it like atile where you flip half of the object over to the opposite side so they fit together without a seam.
Use an eraser with an airbrushed effect to overlap wood without seams.
