Mosaic Grouting?
Okay, so me and my boyfriend have started making Moasic Crosses and trying to sell them to get out of debt. We have run into a small problem and need help.
I have decorated the crosses and he is grouting them, but it looks really messy, the grout wont come off the tile, but I am going to try to vaseline them next time before grouting and maybe use a straight edge razor to scrap off the dried grout. The side of the cross look very messy.. how do you make it look cleaner? Should we grout front and back or just front? or front and side? Oh Gosh so many questions!!
grouting is just messy…make sure the tile you are using is sealed if it is not seal it before grouting if it is unsealed it will suck the moisture out of the grout and stain the tile. if you are not sure put a couple of drops of water on it and see if it beeds up and stays on the surface or gets absorbed. they aso make a grout in a caulk tube that will give you much more control.
