Are atheists willing to acknowledge this issue about the Bible?
In the U.S. we have had laws changed over the course of time. Prohibition being one, and that Slavery was outlawed in the 19th century. In other words, certain circumstances changed what laws need to be followed.
The same is true for the Bible. When Christ came, the old testament law was changed as we are now under the law of grace, rather than following the Mosaic laws for the sake of following the laws.
To state that we pick and choose which verses to follow and not to consider that certain verses were written prior to Christ’s death and resurrection means that you do not understand the concept that events can shape which laws and verses apply to today.
As critics of the Bible, have you considered this factor of time and circumstances shaping our beliefs.
Or do you say that the US laws are irrelevant because we once allowed slavery and then later abolished it?
Sadly dear sister, Atheists are not willing to acknowledge the veracity of the Bible. It is the all time best seller. It is the only book that has made outlandish predictions only to be faithfully recorded hundreds and even thousands of years later. No other books have the volume of ancient manuscripts that the Bible does. (Check out the dead sea scrolls!) The New Testament alone has over 24,000 manuscripts to attest to its veracity. Evil men have tried to eradicate the Bible over the years but have never succeeded. God won’t let them. Even today in China the commies are burning Bibles and putting people in prison for owning one. These poor atheists are to be pitied. They have no chance to wipe out God’s divine word. Furthermore there is much corroboration of the Bible in secular history, Josephus, and Tacitus to name a few . Also, in spite of vain ,atheistic, Darwin believing , geologists, & archeologists and other so called sceintists making numerous attempts to discredit the Bible, there has never been a geological or archeological discovery disputing any fact, place or history in the Bible or of the earth’s creation as recorded in the Bible. The Bible stands alone as the only absolute authority and the greatest literature in history. If only people, and most especially people who call themselves Christians , would read it !!!! God bless you for standing up for it.
