Can anybody tell me how I can use broken mirror pieces in a mosaic project????
Hi, I have been feeling a bit creative latley.. I broke a large mirror I have, but didn’t want to through it away..
I have one of those small round 3 legged tables accent tables in my living room.. mine doesen’t have just the plywood or wood top, mine has a formica top, with tiny littlee specs of a gold/ butterscoth color to it…
I want to use the pieces of the broken mirror in a mosaic fashion to go on the table top.. If I use grout, You can’t see the natural pattern on the table. I want to use and adhesive, and maybe a clear epoxy or gloss or something.. when I laid the mirror pieces on you can feel that they aren’t quite even.. so I need a filler that is clear…
I don’t want to cover the hole thing up, I just want a little bit to show through ,..and it will look very elegant when complete..
Any suggestions will be helpfull….

Craft stores sell an epoxy that you mix up and poor onto the surface. It is self-leveling so the surface will be smooth even though your mirror pieces are on top of the original surface. It creates a beautiful high gloss surface that is very durable.
