where is best (and cheap) to exhibit mosaics in buckinghamshire?
A friend wants to showcase her mosaics but some local galleries are being snooty. Any suggestions of local exhibition spaces? Would need space for 3 lamp-sized sculptures, 3 large bowls, about 4 mosaicked mirrors…
this is still considered a craft , not fine art, so this is why “galleries are being snooty.” Secondly, there are so many around, and third, they don’t bring much money…so those gallery owners who pay high rents don’t benefit by selling low end merchandise.
look for community craft fairs, community center art venues, co-ops, small gift shops.
