How durable is glass mosaic tile?
I want to do my bar top in 1″ X 1″ glass mosaic tile.
Thanks very much for the fast responses! I’m not worried about wine stains in the grout very much, as the bar is mainly used for eating and entertaining. (Nobody in my house even drinks.)
It makes a beautiful counter top and will be fairly durable as the small tiles are generally fairly thick. However, you will need to be very careful to get every tile to lie flat or this will be a difficult surface for cocktail glasses like martini or champagne. Also this is a lot of grout for potential wine stains. You could alleviate some of the staining with epoxy grout, however,
