Question for all those INTERIOR DESIGNERS out there…?
So I’m redecorating my room and kind of going for the girly, wildflower, south of France antiqued wood, Anthropologie (the store: www.anthropologie.com) look. I have book shelves that go on the wall and I was thinking I could put mosaic tiles on them and antique the metal brackets.
So here’s my question: Does the antiqued theme and mosaic match? Or will that look like too many ideas?

I would not try to merge those two things. The first is French Country, and the second is more Moroccan or Moorish. Sometimes you can cross styles. Mixing Moorish and Mexican designs pops into mind as they share a Spanish reference and some color palettes. But I do think this idea you are having is too busy and trying to say too much. Stick with the French Country. Maybe throw in a few contemporary touches that keep the same mood and tone if you want variety.
